Thematic Programmes

PRESPA Institute advances its mission through five interconnected thematic programmes that address the key challenges shaping North Macedonia, Southeast Europe, and the wider European and transatlantic space.

Our programmes combine strategic research, foresight, policy analysis, civic engagement, and institutional innovation to help decision-makers and communities better understand change, strengthen resilience, improve governance, and enable meaningful participation.

Together, they reflect PRESPA Institute’s commitment to a democratic, secure, and prosperous Southeast Europe grounded in evidence-based policymaking, regional cooperation, and future-oriented thinking.

External Voices

Each programme is supported by an External Voice—an accomplished practitioner, academic, public intellectual, or policy expert whose experience and perspective enrich the Institute’s work.

External Voices contribute strategic insight, challenge assumptions, broaden perspectives, and help connect PRESPA Institute with wider professional, academic, and policy communities. While they are not involved in the day-to-day management of programmes, they serve as trusted advisors and intellectual partners, helping ensure that our work remains relevant, innovative, and connected to broader debates and developments.

PRESPA Institute remains open to engaging additional local and international External Voices whose expertise can strengthen the quality, relevance, and impact of its programmes.
