Aleksandar Grizev, PhD, is Associate Professor at the Military Academy “General Mihailo
Apostolski” in Skopje, an associated member institution of Goce Delcev University in Stip, and
Head of the Department for Social Sciences and Humanities. He holds a master’s degree in
psychology and a PhD in sociology, with academic and professional experience in the fields of
security, societal resilience, culture, religion, gender perspectives, and contemporary security
challenges.
His academic and research work focuses on foreign and security policy, hybrid threats, strategic
communication, the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, radicalization and violent
extremism, cross-cultural communication, and the human dimension of security and military
operations. He has participated in international missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ukraine
(OSCE Special Monitoring Mission).
Alongside his academic work, he is actively engaged in regional and international initiatives
related to democratic resilience, security governance, strategic foresight, and public policy
development. He regularly participates in international academic and policy forums, bridging
practical operational experience with research, education, and policy-oriented analysis.
